At Neuro Scan Diagnostic in Bokaro Steel City and Phusro, we perform various medical diagnostic tests suggested by a professional doctor for patients. We have all the required machineries and tracking tools which can provide precise diagnostic reports of head to toe. From CT Scan to X-Ray, ECG, EEG and TMT, we have everything which required for a complete test. Here are the details of tests that we provide for patients.

CT Scan

CT Scan is highly effective in such conditions where diagnosis has to be done for internal injuries or diseases. CT Scan helps in:

  • Diagnosing tumors, fractures, infection, blood clot, internal injuries and bleeding.

  • It captures internal view of bladder, kidneys, liver, pancreas, spleen, uterus, ovaries, blood vessels, thyroid, etc.
  • Ultrasound is the best known test for viewing a growing fetus and closely monitoring a baby’s health.
  • Most ultrasound examinations are done from outside the body, while few require to examine from inside.

  • It helps in diagnosing health conditions such as HIV, Diabetes, Cancer, Heart Disease, Anaemia, etc.
  • Regular blood test is always recommended to track your body performance and diagnose any disease at early stage.

Mammography

  • It helps doctors to examine if there is any lump or possibilities of cancer in female breasts and treat accordingly.
  • Doctors often recommend between two types of mammography – diagnostic and screening mammography.
  • Early detection of disease through mammography of breasts can help you start the treatment at the earliest.

X-Ray

X-Ray is a body imaging process where electromagnetic waves are used to scan and create the pictures of inside of a body.

  • X-Ray is used to examine several body parts such as Chest, Abdomen, Bones and Teeth.
  • It can diagnose body conditions such as fractures, arthritis, dental decay, osteoporosis, bone cancer, lung infections such as pneumonia, tuberculosis or lung cancer, breast cancer, enlarged heart, blocked blood vessels and digestive tract problems.
  • It can also locate anything swallowed inside a body.

ECG

ECG (Electrocardiogram) test is a painless procedure which is used to track the heart best rhythm and its electrical activities.

  • It can help in detecting blocked or narrowed arteries which may be causing chest pain which may lead to heart attacks.
  • ECG can detect arrhythmias where the heart beats abnormally like very slowly or too fast.
  • Doctors write ECG test if you have cheat pain, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, severe tiredness, etc.

EEG

EEG (electroencephalogram) is a test where small metal discs are attached to the scalp to monitor the brain wave patterns.

  • It is useful in detecting brain problems such as dementia, encephalitis, tumors, internal injuries, epilepsy, sleep disorders, encephalopathy, stroke, etc.
  • EEG is a painless test done by highly trained specialist called neurophysiologist.
  • The electrical signals produces by the brain during the test are recorded by a digital machine and looked by neurophysiologists.

TMT

TMT (Treadmill Test) is conducted track heart activity using a treadmill and small metal electrodes attached to the chest.

  • In TMT, doctors ask a patient to walk a patient on a treadmill at a specific speed. They track a point where the heart performance goes abnormal due to the pressure or stress applied after a certain time of walking.
  • TMT helps to diagnose heart abnormalities such as coronary artery disease, cardiovascular disease, congenital heart disease, Cardiomyopathy with hypertrophy, etc.

Echo Cardiography

Echocardiography is the medical imaging (ultrasound) process to create the picture of the heart and blood flow through valves.

  • The test is conducted by a trained and technical person known as cardiac sonographer.
  • Few types of echocardiography test are Transthoracic echocardiogram, Transesophageal echocardiogram, Exercise stress echocardiogram.
  • It helps in detecting the size of heart, its chambers & muscles, blood clots, pumping & relaxing function, etc.

Audiometry

Audiometry is a painless hearing test used to measure a patient’s ability to hear different sound patterns with variable frequencies.

  • An instrument called audiometer is used to perform the audiometry test by a trained specialist known as an Audiologist.
  • Few type of audiometry tests are Pure tone testing, speech audiometry, immittance audiometry and tympanometry.
  • Patients suffering from hearing loss, or tumors in or around the ear are recommended to undergo audiometry test.

PFT

PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) is used to monitor the performance of lungs such as air inhale & exhale, air holding capacity, etc.

  • PFT is used to diagnose certain lung health condition such as trouble in breathing, asthama, brochitis, asbestosis, allergies, respiratory infections, tumors, inflammation, sarcoidosis, scleroderma, etc.
  • PFT test measures the amount of air inhaled or exhaled when breathing normally, air inhaling or exhaling up to a patient’s full capacity, forcefully air inhaling and exhaling, etc.
